How To Switch A Tripod Head

Review: "Surfing The Void" - Klaxons

After many vicissitudes the absurd result of (too?) Lucky " Myths Of The Near Future " finally has come among us from deep space.
I do not know for what reason absurd, but the Klaxons are another of those bands with a fucking brain in space. It 's a real fissaizone that permeates all the crazy lyrics of the album, creating a b-movie sci-fi, a little' 80s, very colorful, filled with misshapen monsters, exploding stars, parallel dimensions and any place in town can be found in these films!
The tracks are very varied, ranging through various kinds of rock / alternative. If " Echoes" reminds a little 'Golden Skans "key in a little more rock," The Same Space "is a song (if it were not for the choruses, etc.) do not expect much from them. While there is always a massive dose of electronic components, what stands out most is the ear tack more rock that have taken the three ('special, now 4) in London. With the title track
things get serious: sudden ups and downs on board a ship takes us along one of the finest pieces and messed up the album.
"Valley of the Calm Trees" is one of the oldest pieces (if it goes wrong in an early version of the album, in 2007) and style it is perhaps closer to the first album to this "Surfing The Void ", while the all-new fifth track," Venus, "which are unbearable for a fun ride is stellar.
Here ends the first part of the album, definitely lighter and pop: in the other 5 pieces in fact you might feel the hand of the producer of Korn. "Astronomical Extra", "Flashover " and " Chypherspeed " are all from mosh (if the Klaxons were decent live, which I have seen that are NOT the Traffic Festival in July).
The first single is " Echoes" for the launch of the album is just fine, despite the video ultra-cheap, pity though that the first sales figures are quite negative.
Perhaps they should take advantage of the success of the first album, especially because the work is good, but absolutely nothing special and above the original.
In essence, the improvement on the first album there and how the atmosphere from space b-movie sci-fi are amazing and work great, but if you are looking for the album of the year shot well wide.

RATING: 6 / 7
